My philosophy always focuses on creating a healthy athlete for the long-term by ensuring exercises are performed with the correct technique and through appropriate training methods and programming. I aim to guide clients through their exercise program with precise coaching techniques and appropriate loads when training with weights. Anyone can motivate with a loud voice, but it is the client’s body and well-being that is the responsibility of the coach, which is most important to me.

Group fitness has always been a love of mine, the team work, encouragement, determination and motivation expelled is always fantastic. Just over two years ago I came across the elements of CrossFit and fell in love! It was everything I had been training and more. Strength and cardio training mixed with elements of gymnastics and power lifting executed at high intensity, what an awesome way to increase and track all areas of your fitness. This along with the consistent motivating team atmosphere proves the greatness of CrossFit, everyone always works together as a community constantly pushing and supporting one another.

I have found a great passion for CrossFit and TRG, I find it so rewarding coaching all the members and watching them grow to further achieve their goals in such a fantastic atmosphere.

Tahnee Smith

Tahnee Smith

Coach

After starting a family in 2012, poor experiences in my own post natal fitness drove me to enter and create change in the fitness industry. The mentorship of some of South Australia’s top women’s fitness professionals gave me the tools to help countless new parents and mum’s to be succeed.

Certificate 3 in Fitness
Certificate 4 in Fitness
Pre and postnatal Training for Personal Trainers
Antenatal Core Training Senior First Aid CPR certification

Fitness Background
Athletics 9 years
Touch Football 4 years

I come from a background of track and field in which power, speed and podium are at the forefront of an athletes mind. Where your personal best is a reflection of your hard work and mental toughness. After a knee reconstruction and several clean ups I had to give up the dream of podium finishes and find an alternative that would provide all the attributes I loved about athletics. Almost a decade on, qualifications in personal training and experience in group training, sports specific training, corporate fitness and pre and post natal fitness, I found CrossFit TRG.

TRG quickly exceeded my expectations, holding the same training principles I delivered to my own clients, a holistic, functional and fun approach to fitness. The gym also displayed a caring and practical approach to training pre and post natal members. Seeing women empowered through training at CrossFit TRG was the cherry on top. TRG gave a community full of like-minded individuals and it quickly became a vessel to continue my own training whilst providing healthy competition and fuelling my love for coaching individuals and groups to become the best versions of themselves.
